Three score three against the Aggies

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – A flurry of goals landed three Warriors with hat tricks for the first time this season, led by senior Owen Zimmerman (Cocalico, Pa./Stevens), who scored six goals, as well as junior Rory Hines (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland), and first-year Joey Hoover (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area), who each had three, to lead the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team to a 15-6 MAC Freedom victory over Delaware Valley at UPMC Field on Saturday afternoon, April 23.

Zimmerman finished the senior day spectacle with his 10th hat trick of the season, also posting an assist, a caused turnover, and four groundballs. Hoover and Hines collected a groundball each. Fellow senior Dominick Massaro (Centereach, N.Y./Sachem North) found the back of the net twice, and junior Zach Anderson (Fogelsville, Pa./Northwestern Lehigh) finished with a goal, an assist, and a groundball.

Sophomore Max Anderson (Harrisburg, Pa./Homeschooled) led the team with a career-best three assists. First-year Ryan Farrell (Swedesboro, N.J./Archmere Academy) led the Warriors with eight groundballs, winning 10 faceoffs, and junior Andrew Dede (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) tallied four caused turnovers.

His first goal at 12:44 opened the scoring for the game, the second scored at 8:17 off his own rebound, while the third came off a faceoff to start the second quarter. After senior Markus Sidwell (Glen Burnie, Md./Glen Burnie) picked up a groundball off the faceoff, Zimmerman's fourth goal found the net with 5:41 left in the second. The fifth goal came with 14:29 in the third and the final goal five minutes later.
