Dominick Massaro (Centereach, N.Y./Sachem North) completed his sixth hat trick of the season to lead the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team past Wilkes University, 15-8, in MAC Freedom action at Schmidt Stadium on Wednesday, April 13.

Owen Zimmerman (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) notched four goals for his ninth hat trick of the season, finishing with an assist, groundball, and caused turnover. Senior
Markus Sidwell (Glen Burnie, Md./Glen Burnie) scored two goals and added a groundball and caused turnover. Senior
Brandon Waden (West Henrietta/Rush-Henrietta), sophomore
Patrick Dwyer (Somerville, N.J./Immaculata), who also added two assists, and first-year
Troy Scozzafava (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) all notched a goal apiece.

Andrew Dede (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) and senior
Josh Hall (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) led the team with five groundballs each. Dede and fellow junior
Brody Balasa (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) led the team with three caused turnovers.

Massaro scored his first two goals in the first at 9:03 and 2:24 and finished his first half hat trick with 2:06 in the second on a failed clear attempt by Wilkes (4-10 Overall, 0-5 MAC Freedom) to give the Warriors the lead for good. His fourth goal came on a man-up opportunity for the Warriors (7-7 Overall, 3-2 MAC Freedom) and he also scored a minute later unassisted on a turnover, and his final goal came with 2:28 left in the third.

Zimmerman opened the scoring for the Warriors, before the Colonels took a series of one-goal leads in the first quarter. Sidwell scored both of his goals in the first at 6:47 and 1:05, tying the game each time.

Waden found his goal early in the third thanks to
Ryan Farrell's faceoff win, sparking a six-goal run from the Warriors. Zimmerman completed his hat trick two minutes later at 12:40. Zimmerman's final goal found the back of the net with 9:00 left in the fourth, giving Lycoming a 14-7 lead.

Eric Ormsby led the Colonels with two goals, two assists, and a groundball. Bradley Anacreon finished with 10 groundballs.

First-year goalkeeper
Ben Franco (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) played all 60 minutes, making 11 saves, scooping up two groundballs and causing a turnover. Ryan Lasher and Daniel Cox combined for 10 saves.

The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, April 20, when they head to DeSales University for a 7 p.m. MAC Freedom matchup in Center Valley, Pa.
