WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Six players hit the back of the net for the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team, led by senior
Owen Zimmerman's second hat trick of the season, as Lycoming used a six-goal second quarter to get past Allegheny College, 11-5, for the first victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, March 5, at UPMC Field.

Zimmerman (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) landed four goals on 11 shots and picked up an assist, a groundball and a caused turnover. Seniors
Dominick Massaro (Centereach, N.Y./Sachem North) and
Michael Scarponi (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) followed with two goals each with Massaro adding an assist. Senior
Brandon Waden (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta), juniors
Zach Anderson (Fogelsville, Pa./Northwestern Leheigh) and
Rory Hines (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) each recorded a goal.

First-year
Ryan Ledermann (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) led the team with five of the Warriors' 27 groundballs. He was joined by junior
Andrew Dede (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), who led the team with three caused turnovers. Junior
Joe Corozzo (Glen Head, N.Y./North Shore) won 8-of-18 at the faceoff 'x'. The Warriors (1-2 overall) were a perfect 31-for-31 in the clearing game.

Waden opened the scoring unassisted with 2:15 remaining in the first period, his first goal of the season. Scarponi notched one with 20 seconds on the clock with Massaro on the assist, helping Lycoming start the game on a 4-0 run.

Zimmerman's first goal came in the second period unassisted as he, Massaro, and Hines all scored their first of the game in a span of six minutes. Up 7-2 with less than two minutes in the half, Anderson hit the back of the net to help propel give Lycoming a six-goal lead at the break. The Warriors never let the Gators (1-1 overall) within five in the second half.

Jack Cushwa led the Gators with two goals and three groundballs and teammate Cassady Bouthet notched six groundballs and two caused turnovers.

Three goalkeepers suited up for the Warriors with first-year
Ben Franco (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) securing the win after making four saves while junior
Sean Sonnie (Cinnaminson, Pa./Cinnaminson) made six in the third quarter. First-year
Michael Lavinio (Upper Saddle River, N.J./St. Joseph Regional) stopped one shot in the fourth quarter. Eric Mirkovich played all 60 minutes for the Gators, making 12 saves.

The Warriors return to the field on Wednesday, March 9, when they travel to Keuka College for a 4 p.m. start in Keuka Park, N.Y.
