Rory Hines (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) found the back of the net for his fourth goal to bring the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team within a goal as he led the offense with four goals and a groundball in their first MAC Freedom matchup of the season, falling to Misericordia University, 14-13, on Wednesday, March 30, at UPMC Field.

Ben Franco (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) made 25 saves, the fourth-most in program history, in a with an additional five groundballs and a caused turnover in a standout performance in goal for the Warriors (4-6 overall, 0-1 MAC Freedom).

Ryan Farrell (Swedesboro, N.J./Archmere Academy) each posted six groundballs. Sophomore
Jakob Switzer (West Pittston, Pa./Wyoming Area) and first-year
Ryan Ledermann (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) had two caused turnovers apiece.
Ryan Farrell won a career-high 14 faceoffs.

The Warriors put up seven goals in the third quarter, with Zimmerman scoring to tie of the game at 11, completing his hat trick, after
Sean Farrell found the groundball on a turnover by the Cougars (6-3 overall, 1-0 MAC Freeedom). The goal capped a run of five straight goals for the Warriors, but Misericordia scored the next three goals before Sidwell broke a 10-minute scoring drought for both teams with 1:42 left, setting up Hines' man-up goal seconds later. The Cougars won the faceoff, though, and were able to run out the clock.

Hines opened the scoring for the Warriors to tie it at one, but a late three-goal run by Misericordia helped it lead 5-2 at the end of the first quarter. Zimmerman's first goal came at 11:34 in the second with Daley scoring a minute later to keep the Warriors within three. Massaro scored with 11 seconds left in the half to make it 8-5 at the break.

Robert Wagner led the Cougars with four goals, three assists and eight groundballs. Matt Coates, Chris Straub, and Sean Wallace made a collective 11 saves for the Cougars.

The Warriors return to the field on Saturday, April 2, when they travel to Arcadia University for a 1 p.m. MAC Freedom matchup in Glenside, Pa.
