Seniors Owen Zimmerman (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) and Dominick Massaro (Centereach, N.Y./Sachem North) each had a goal, with Zimmerman collecting an additional assist, groundball, and caused turnover. Massaro picked up four groundballs. Junior Joe Corozzo (Glen Head, N.Y./North Shore) had a goal, two groundballs, and a caused turnover. Sophomore Matt Daley (Plymouth, Mass./Plymouth South) led with two assists.

Junior Brody Balasa (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) led the Warriors with six groundballs, as 16 Warriors (2-3 overall) picked up at least one. Senior Josh Hall (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) totaled four caused turnovers while first-year Ryan Farrell (Swedesboro, N.J./Archmere Academy) and Corozzo totaled four faceoff wins.

Zimmerman notched the first goal of the game with 3:52 remaining in the first, as Lycoming built a 2-1 lead in the first quarter. Massaro found the back of the next almost a minute later with Zimmerman on the assist. Alfred's Kevin Matson found the Saxons' first with less than a minute of play in the period. The Saxons tied the game at two, but Scarponi's first extra-man goal for the Warriors came with 1:43 left in the half gave Lycoming the lead at the break.

The Saxons scored the first 10 goals of the second half before Corozzo's goal with less than three minutes left in the game broke the string.

Kevin Matson led the Saxons with five goals, an assist, and two groundballs. Kaelan Winkky picked up nine groundballs.

First-year goalkeeper Ben Franco (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) made 15 saves over 60 minutes, including 10 in an outstanding first quarter. Alfred's Scott Kimiecik and Andy Davis totaled nine saves.
