WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior
Dyson Harward (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) notched his sixth straight double-double and 15
th of the season to lead the Lycoming College men's basketball team, and three others joined him in double figures as Lycoming shot 55 percent from the floor in an 83-73 win over MAC Freedom foe Misericordia University on Tuesday night, Feb. 15.

The Warriors (15-9 overall, 10-5 MAC Freedom) moved back into a tie for third in the MAC Freedom standings with Arcadia (11-13 overall, 10-5 MAC Freedom) with the win and stayed a half-game ahead of Delaware Valley (14-9 overall, 10-6 MAC Freedom), but will need to win their final regular-season game on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m., at the MAC Freedom's regular-season champion, DeSales University, in order to guarantee a home game in the MAC Freedom quarterfinals on Wednesday, Feb. 23.

Harward notched 24 points and 16 rebounds to give him 542 career rebounds, which surpassed Kevin Rutherford (1995-99) for 21
st in program history. He hit a career-best 5-of-6 from 3-point range, added three assists and blocked three shots. Sophomore
Stephen Hamilton (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) added 20 points and three assists as he hit 8-of-12 from the floor, and junior
DeAundre Manuel (Brooklyn, N.Y./KIPP NYC Prep) posted 18 points and five rebounds.

Senior
Matt Ilodigwe (Wilmington, Del./Concord) was the fourth Warrior in double figures, posting 11 points and five assists in the win.

The Warriors shot 53 percent from 3-point range (10-of-19) in the game and also outscored the Cougars (8-16 overall, 6-9 MAC Freedom) in the paint, 38-24, holding Misericordia to 39 percent (25-of-64) in the game.

Lycoming opened the game with six straight points before the Cougars responded with eight to take the lead with 15:37 left. Harward responded with a pair of 3-pointers in the next three minutes to help Lycoming take the lead back with a seven-point run. Misericordia tied the score four more times and were within a bucket with 2:24 left in the half before Lycoming closed the half on a 9-0 run highlighted by five points from Harward, taking a 41-30 lead into the break.

The Warriors led by double figures for the entirety of the second half, leading by as many as 19 after a fastbreak dunk by Hamilton with 17:54 left and keeping the lead in double figures as a trapping Cougar defense slowed the offense late and helped the Cougars close within 10 with 3:42 left. Ilodigwe snapped the quiet stretch with a 3-pointer that made it 80-66 with 2:35 left.

Kevin Lazdowsky scored a career-high 32 points for the Cougars, as he hit six 3-pointers and all eight of his free throw attempts. Nick Prociak posted 15 points and eight rebounds to lead the team, which was outrebounded by the Warriors, 40-26.
