WILKES-BARRE, Pa.- First-year Rei Saar (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) reached the MAC Individual Championships No. 5 singles semifinals with two wins on the opening day of the tournament to lead the Lycoming College women's tennis team on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 11, at Kirby Park.
 
Saar was one of three Warriors singles players to reach the quarterfinals, as she defeated DeSales' Hope Hoppe, 6-5, 7-5, in the quarterfinal match.
 
Saar will face top-seeded Isabella Dona of Stevens in the semifinals when the tournament resumes on Sunday morning, Sept. 12, in Kirby Park.
 
Sophomore twins Hannah and Haley Seebold (New Columbia, Pa./Milton Area) each opened their tournaments with wins as well. Hannah notched a 6-2, 6-2 win over Albright's Shelby Woodward before a loss in the quarterfinals in the first flight and Haley posted a 1-6, 6-4, 10-5 superset tiebreaker win over Kate Wyszkowski of Arcadia in the fourth flight.
