ALFRED, N.Y. – Second-minute pins by sophomore 197-pounder Gable Crebs (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) and junior heavyweight Connor Fulmer (Elysburg, Pa./Southern Columbia) helped lift the Lycoming College wrestling team to a 24-17 comeback win over Alfred State before the team won nine duals in a 43-3 dismantling of Keystone College on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 11, at Orvis Gymnasium.
 
Down 17-12 to the Pioneers (6-2 overall), Crebs got the lead back with a pin of Blake Igles in 78 seconds. Fulmer took just three more seconds to deck Nick Barrett, ensuring the Warriors' first dual meet win of the season.

First-year 125-pounder Kaden Majcher (Turbotville, Pa./Warrior Run) posted an 11-8 decision over Troy Hayes, sophomore 141-pounder Wiley Kahler (Pottsville, Pa./Nativity BVM) posted a 9-3 decision over Elijah Moshenek, first-year 149-pounder Logan Bartlett (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) added a 10-3 win over Sean Peterson and junior 157-pounder Hunter O'Connor (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) notched a 9-3 win over Justin Smith to give Lycoming a 12-3 lead. A Pioneer pin at 165 and a technical fall at 174 started a run of 14 straight points in the next three bouts, helping the Pioneers take the five-point lead heading into Crebs' match.
 
The Warriors (2-0 overall) won seven of the eight contested matches against the Giants (5-5 overall), clinching the bout with a 31-point lead after the first six bouts in the 43-3 win.
 
Junior 125-pounder Garrett Lee (Hollywood, Md./Leonardtown) decked Derek Torres in the first period before Majcher, wrestling at 133, did the same to Clayton Shaw, helping the Warriors open a 24-0 lead thanks to forfeits at 141 and 149. O'Connor notched a decision at 157 and junior 165-pounder Preston Rogers (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) added a major decision at 165 to clinch the match.
 
Sophomore 174-pounder Hunter Charles (Chestertown, Md./Queen Anne's County) notched a decision, Crebs posted a technical fall at 197 and Fulmer added a major decision at heavyweight to round out the team's scoring.
 
The wins move the Warriors to 795-317-9 all-time in dual meets, leaving five wins shy of becoming the fifth Division III school in the country to reach the 800-win plateau.
 
Fulmer improved to 19-0 this season, leaving him a win shy of becoming the eighth wrestler in program history to start a season with 20 straight wins.
 
The Warriors get back on the mat on Monday, Dec. 20, when they host the Rennie Rodarmel Allstate Duals, where they will face New Jersey City (1:30 p.m.), King's (Pa.) (3 p.m.), Penn College (4:30 p.m.) and SUNY Cortland (6 p.m.).
