WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore
Jessica Shaver (Luzerne, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) posted a career-high eight points, hitting four of her six field-goal attempts to lead the Lycoming College women's basketball, which fell to Susquehanna University, 62-43, on Sunday, Nov. 28, at Lamade Gym.

Ashley Yoh (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County) had a team-high six rebounds to go with seven points and two steals. Sophomore
Allison Butler (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove Area) followed with six points and five rebounds and junior
Kenzie Reed (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) led the Warriors (1-6 overall) in assists with four and she also added five rebounds.

The Warriors outscored the River Hawks (5-1 overall) by a point in the second period. Junior
Emily Zoscin (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly Area) kicked off the third period with a 3-pointer and Yoh and Butler combined for nine points in the quarter, as Lycoming cut the lead down to 13 with four minutes left before Susquehanna got it back to 17 by the end of the period. First-year
Sophie Pelton (Endicott, N.Y./Maine-Endwell) totaled four points with a pair of layups in the fourth and sophomore
Cathryn Brought (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) claimed a 3-point shot, but the Warriors weren't able to close within 17 in the final moments.

A 3-point shot by Olivia Brandt put the River Hawks on the board, helping them start the game on an eight-point scoring run. Sophomore
Alyssa Zorbaugh (York, Pa./West York) hit a jump shot to get the Warriors on the board, as they fell behind, 11-2, at the end of the first period and the River Hawks expanded that to a 20-point halftime lead.

Amanda Lemire and Olivia Brandt led the River Hawks with 10 points each. Lemire had five assists and four rebounds and Brandt had three assists and 10 rebounds.

The Warriors return to the court on Saturday, Dec. 4, as they open MAC Freedom play at Stevens with a 1 p.m. tip-off in Hoboken, N.J.
