WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Down by seven points with 4:12 left, the Lycoming College men's basketball team held Penn College to one point in the waning moments and sophomore
Steven Hamilton (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) hit a layup with 17 seconds left to tie the game before Lycoming pulled away for a 67-62 overtime win at Bardo Gym on Saturday, Nov. 20.

Down 58-51 with 4:12 left, the Warriors (3-2 overall) began to work back into the game, as junior
DeAundre Manuel (Brooklyn, N.Y./KIPP NYC Prep) hit a pair of free throws. After the Wildcats (0-3 overall) extended the lead back to six with a free throw, junior
Mo Terry (Severn, Md./Severn School) hit a layup as he was fouled with 1:59 left, and followed that with two free throws to make it 59-57 with 1:31 left.

Lycoming forced a missed shot and a turnover with an offensive foul to set up Hamilton's game-tying layup.

In the extra period, the Wildcats took a 62-61 lead with 1:52 left, but Manuel hit a layup after a steal by Hamilton and then added another layup off an assist from junior
Dyson Harward (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) with 17 seconds left to make it 65-62. A pair of free throws iced the game for Lycoming.

Hamilton finished with a team-best 15 points, three assists and two steals. Senior
Matt Ilodigwe (Wilmington, Del./Concord) finished with 11 points, three steals and three rebounds and Manuel posted 11 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks. Sophomore
Brendon Blackson (Laurel, Md./Laurel) also added 11 points.

Harward notched six points, 10 rebounds and three blocks and Terry posted six points and seven rebounds.

Penn College jumped out on a 15-5 run before the Warriors responded with an 11-5 run to close within three points at 19-16 with 7:42 left in the period. Lycoming cut the lead to a point, but Penn College didn't relinquish it easily, leading 32-29 at the break.

Lycoming started the second half on a 10-6 run to take a 39-38 lead off a jumper from Hamilton, but a fastbreak layup from Max Jackowsky put the Wildcats back in the lead, where they stayed until Hamilton's layup with 17 seconds left.

Jessie White led the Wildcats with 13 points, nine rebounds and three assists and Gavin Barrett posted 12 points and six assists.

The Warriors shot 35 percent from the field (23-of-66), while Penn College finished at 37 percent (23-of-62).

The Warriors get back on the court on Monday, Nov. 22, when they head to Susquehanna University for a 7 p.m. non-conference game.
