WASHINGTON, Pa. – A dominating performance that included three wins by fall helped junior
Connor Fulmer (Elysburg, Pa./Southern Columbia) win his first collegiate tournament, as he led a group of seven Lycoming College wrestlers that placed at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 13.

The Warriors finished fourth in the 17-team field with 121 points, behind Lake Erie (225.5), Washington & Jefferson (134.5) and Washington & Lee (134.5) and ahead of Aderson-Broaddus (102), Thiel (94), Gettysburg (64), Ohio Wesleyan (46.5), Jamestown Community College (46), Case Western (43), Hiram (35), Waynesburg (31), Muskingum (30), Garrett (29.5), Penn State Behrend (25), Pitt-Bradford (19) and UMBC (9).

Fulmer, seeded fifth, opened the tournament with a 48-second pin of Washington & Jefferson's Jacob Walker before decking Jamestown Community College's Alex Christy in 3:53. He faced first-year teammate
Robbie West (Wahington, Pa./Fort Cherry) in the semifinals, pinning him in 50 seconds before finishing off the day by beating third-seeded Clay Chadwick of Washington & Lee, 4-2.

In his first action of the season, sophomore
Preston Rogers (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) finished second in the 165-pound weight class after entering unseeded. He posted a 6-1 win over Thiel's Frank Gill in the opener, then pinned Muskingum's Zach Mason in 34 seconds to reach the quarterfinals. He beat Alderson-Broaddus' Justin Henry, 4-2 and then pinned Lake Erie's Jacob Smithson in 1:33 to reach the finals, where he fell to Lake Erie's eighth-ranked James Penfold.

First-year 133-pounder
Thomas Conselyea (Landing, N.J./Rosbury), sophomore 197-pounder
Gable Crebs (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) and West each finished fourth.

Conselyea posted a 6-4 win in the opening round against Case Western's Ben Stiles before downing Washington & Jefferson's Seth Fleming by major decision, 14-3 in the quarterfinals. After falling to 13
th-ranked Corey Gamet of Lake Erie, he fell to Lake Erie's Ryan Wehner, 4-1, in the third-place match.

Crebs opened the tournament with a  15-0 tech fall against Ohio Wesleyan's Geoffrey Kaminski and then beat Alderson Broaddus' Dwayne Johnson, 5-0, in the quarterfinals. It took Division II's sixth-ranked wrestler to stop him in the semifinals, as Lake Erie's Chris Droege won in 3:00.

West opened the tournament with a pin of Hiram's Zach Harper in 4:21 before he upset top-seeded Demetrius Daniels of Alderson Broaddus, 5-3. He followed with a 12-0 major decision against Lake Erie's Paul Scaramuzzino before meeting Fulmer in the semifinals. He also dropped the third-place match.

Junior 157-pounder
Hunter O'Connor (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) reached the fifth-place match by posting a pin of Gettysburg's David Bancroft in 4:19 before he dropped a major decision to sixth-ranked Ryan Luth of Washington & Lee. He fought through the wrestlebacks, though, downing Gettysburg's Jon Cermeno by tech fall, 16-0, then beat Case Western Reserve's Calvin Cai, 10-7. He added a pin of Ohio Wesleyan's Caleb Blake at 6:53 and added a 4-0 win over first-year teammate
Logan Bartlett (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) to finish the day 5-1.

Clayton Royer (Centre Hall, Pa./Penns Valley Area) also placed sixth at 149 pounds. After an opening-round loss, Royer posted an 8-4 win over Gettysburg's Cooper Leszczuk, pinned Garrett's Trey Weinell, notched a 16-2 major decision against Alderson Broaddus' Nate Taylor and earned a forfeit to reach the fifth-place match, where he fell to Washington & Lee's Cooper Johnson.

The Warriors get back on the mat on Saturday, Nov. 20, when they head to the Penn College Wildcat Invitational in Liberty Arena for an 11 a.m. start.
