Warriors set for regular-season finale with Stevenson

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Having found out it clinched a spot in the MAC Commonwealth Championship for the fifth year in a row on Tuesday night, the Lycoming College women's basketball team will get a chance to earn a top four seed in the regular season finale when Stevenson comes to Lamade Gym on Saturday, Feb. 22, for a 1 p.m. tip.

The Warriors (15-9 overall, 8-7 MAC Commonwealth) will honor the team's five seniors before the game, as the group has won 65 games, tied for the most in program history, and is one of just four groups to advance to the postseason four times in their careers.

Stevenson (12-12 overall, 7-8 MAC Commonwealth) needs to win to earn a spot in the conference tournament, and will host Lycoming on Monday if they win, but will need to wait on Arcadia's result at Lebanon Valley to see if they get a bid if they lose.

Game Notes
• Lycoming and Messiah are the only teams in the MAC Commonwealth to earn a bid to the conference championship in each of the last five years.

• The Warriors have strung together 15 wins for the fourth straight year for the second time in program history, joining the 1994-98 squads.

• With 236 steals, senior Akilah McFadden needs three more to tie Kim Wood (1987-90) for the program record for steals in a career.

• Senior Kayla Kline became the first player in program history to earn back-to-back CoSIDA Academic All-District honors on Thursday.

• Senior Morgan Mader leads the MAC Commonwealth and is 17th in Division III with an average of 2.9 3-pointers made per game. She is fifth amongst players from Pennsylvania.

• Senior Megan Helminiak is shooting 57 percent (4-of-7) from 3-point range the last three games.

• The Warriors are 24-6 in games which senior Courtney Treude appears.
