OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Senior
Andrew Ream (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) became the 11
th player in the history of the Lycoming College men's lacrosse program to reach 100 career goals and he also notched four assists, but Stevenson University used a nine-goal second half to post a 16-8 MAC Commonwealth win on Saturday evening, April 6, at Mustang Stadium.

In a matchup of the last two undefeated schools in MAC Commonwealth league play, Ream posted his 100
th career goal with a running fourth-quarter strike, while he also posted a career-best four helpers. Sophomore
Dominick Massaro (Centereach, N.Y./Sachem North) added three goals and an assist and freshman
Owen Zimmerman (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) finished with two scores.

In net, senior
Michael Tenant (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) (4-8) posted 13 saves to give him 624 in his career, moving within 31 of the school record of 655 held by Jared Jankowski (1998-01) with four regular-season games remaining.

The Warriors (4-8 overall, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth) took just 24 shots, but connected on eight, while the six-time defending MAC Commonwealth champion Stevenson (5-6 overall, 3-0 MAC Commonwealth) fired 56.

After Stevenson scored the game's first two goals, both coming nearly nine minutes into the game, the Warriors got on the board with a strong shot from Massaro. The Mustangs rallied to take a 6-2 lead before Lycoming scored its first of three man-up goals with Massaro posting his second goal.

The Mustangs took a 7-2 lead into the break, but a two-minute unsportsmanlike conduct penalty early in the third quarter led to man-up goals from Zimmerman and freshman
Michael Scarponi (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) to make it 7-4.

The Warriors withstood four straight goals from Stevenson and scored two more goals in the third quarter, with Zimmerman's second goal making it 11-6 heading into the fourth quarter. The Mustangs scored four of the first five goals in the last period, though, to hold off the upset-minded Warriors.

Freshman
Justin Joseph (Exeter, Pa./Wyoming Area) won 12-of-25 at the faceoff 'x' to go with a team-best six groundballs and senior
Austin Arroyo (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) scooped up four. Senior
Cole Masterson (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) notched two caused turnovers.

Gray McKee posted four goals and two assists to lead the Mustangs and both Ethan Christensen and Jacob Tatum had two goals and an assist. Seth Thornton won 10-of-18 faceoffs to go with six groundballs and Dylan Harris notched six groundballs and five caused turnovers.

Marc Poust (4-1) finished with seven saves for Stevenson to earn the win.

The Warriors get back on the field on Wednesday, April 10, when they host Lebanon Valley College at 4 p.m. for a MAC Commonwealth tilt.
