Owen Zimmerman (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) each had three goals to lead the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team, which used six goals in each half to post a 12-4 MAC Commonwealth win over Albright College on Wednesday, April 3, at Shirk Stadium.

The Warriors (4-8 overall, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth) beat Albright (0-9 overall, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) for the first time in four tries in Reading in the process, as Lycoming held a 38-20 advantage in shots and 55-33 in ground balls.

Zimmerman got the Warriors on the board just 11 seconds into the game off a give from senior
Andrew Ream (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel). Albright tied the game, but Massaro scored a man-up goal with 8:06 left in the quarter and added another with 4:34 left to give Lycoming a 3-1 lead. Lycoming continued to pressure and an unassisted score from Quigley with a second left in the half made it 6-2 at the break.

Albright cut the lead to three goals with 3:46 left in the third, but Massaro's third goal with 12 seconds left in the third quarter started a run of five straight Lycoming goals to close out the scoring.

Travis Rode (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) notched three assists, six ground balls and two caused turnovers. Senior
Eric Schutta (Frenchtown, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) added six ground balls and three caused turnovers and senior
Cole Masterson (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) added six ground balls and a caused turnover.

Lycoming won 16-of-19 faceoffs, with freshman
Justin Joseph (Exeter, Pa./Wyoming Area) winning 10-of-11 and grabbing six ground balls.

Alex Miller led the Lions with two goals and an assist and Connor Graser posted six caused turnovers and five ground balls.

Senior
Michael Tenant (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) (4-8) notched nine stops to earn the win and Connor Scafidi posted 11 stops for Albright.

The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, April 6, when they head to Stevenson University for a 7 p.m. MAC Commonwealth game.
