WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior Dominick Berardelli (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) led the Lycoming College swim teams with a pair of wins in the backstroke on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 9, as Lycoming won five individual events in a double dual with Hood and Misericordia in the Lamade Gym Natatorium.

 
The Warriors (1-3 overall) fell to Misericordia (2-1 overall), 142-93, and Hood (2-4 overall), 123-108 on the men's side and 142-93 to Misericordia (5-0 overall) and 147-86 to Hood (2-4 overall) on the women's side.
 
Berardelli won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.06 and added a win in the 200-yard backstroke in a 2:12.92.
 
Lycoming also won the 500-yard and 1000-yard freestyle on the men's side, as sophomore Jake Booth (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) posted a time of 5:08.87 to win the 500 and junior Brandon Vought (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) posted a time of 10:44.02 to take the 1,000-yard freestyle. Senior Will Gillespie (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) added a win in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:19.39.
 
On the women's side, junior Mikayla Wright (Danville, Pa./Danville) won the only match of the day for the Warriors, taking the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:59.67.
 
Senior Cara Zortman (York, Pa./York Suburban) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.29) and the 50-yard freestyle (25.94).
 
The Warriors get back into action on Saturday, Nov. 16, when they head to Messiah for a 1 p.m. MAC dual meet.
