WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Having dropped 141 points on opponents in the last three games, the high-flying Lycoming College football team will head to Stevenson University for one of its toughest tests of the season in a Middle Atlantic Conference regular-season finale on Saturday, Nov. 12.

The Warriors (4-5 overall, 3-4 MAC), who have won the last three games by an average margin of 34.3 points, can still finish in a tie for fourth in the MAC with an upset over Stevenson, a Delaware Valley win over Widener and a win by Alvernia over Misericordia. 

The Mustangs (7-2 overall, 6-1 MAC) have won six games in a row since a 28-21 loss to conference champion Delaware Valley. They have scored 178 points in the last five games, including posting a 42-21 win over Wilkes on Nov. 16.

Warrior Notes
• The Warriors have scored 141 points in the past three weeks, the most for the team since the 1980 team had 143 against Upsala (37), FDU-Madison (61) and Dickinson (45).

• Sophomore quarterback Elijah Shemory has passed for seven touchdowns and ran for another eight in the past three games.

• Shemory's needs one more rushing touchdown to become the 15th Warrior to rush for 10 in a season and just the third quarterback.

• Shemory needs 196 more passing yards to become the ninth Warrior to throw for 4,000 yards in a career.

• The Warriors have averaged 341 rushing yards in the past two games, led by 82.0 yards from freshman Joey Guida and 49.0 yards from freshman Nick Breiner.

• The Warriors have allowed 106 yards and no points in the second half the past two weeks.

Ringing Up the Scoreboard
The Warriors have scored 141 points in the past three weeks against FDU-Florham (42), Misericordia (51) and Lebanon Valley (48), the most for the team since the 1980 team had 143 against Upsala (37), FDU-Madison (61) and Dickinson (45). The team has scored 40 points in three straight games just two other times, as the 2000 team had 49 against Widener, 41 against King's and 42 against Lebanon Valley and the 1980 team posted 45 against Albright, 40 against Wilkes and 46 against Susquehanna

Elijah's Excellence
In the last three weeks, sophomore Elijah Shemory has put together an unreal stat line while leading the team to three straight wins. Throwing the ball, he has completed 43-of-61 (70 percent) passing for 728 yards and seven touchdowns, while being intercepted once for a NCAA pass efficiency rating of 205.3. Running the ball, he has been just as impressive, rushing 37 times for 190 yards (5.1) and eight touchdowns. With nine rushing touchdowns this year, Shemory is one shy of joining Jason Marraccini (1997, 13) and Larry Barretta (1984, 10) as the only quarterbacks to find the endzone 10 times in a season.

Ground Game
The Lycoming rushing attack has come alive the last two games, posting 342 yards and five touchdowns against Misericordia and 340 yards and six scores against Lebanon Valley.  Freshman Joey Guida has led the way, as he posted 46 yards against Misericordia and 118 against Lebanon Valley, while freshman Nick Breiner added 40 against Misericordia and 58 against Lebanon Valley. Senior Keith Batkowski added 48 against Misericordia and 51 against Lebanon Valley, as the trio have accounted for 56 percent of the team's rushing yards in the two games.

Climbing the Charts
Sophomore Elijah Shemory is quickly moving up in the career record books, as he is eighth school history in career passing yards (3,804) and 10th with 28 touchdown passes. His average of 200.2 yards per game is tops in the school's career record book, just ahead of Keith Cadden's 198.1.
