SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – For the third straight match, senior
Rob Smith (Middleburg, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) won both his singles and doubles matches, but the Lycoming College men's tennis team fell to Arcadia University, 7-2, in MAC Commonwealth action on Saturday afternoon, April 7, at the West Branch Tennis Club.

Smith is 9-4 in singles matches this season and 6-6 in doubles, bringing his career totals to 32 singles wins (fourth in program history) and 51 combined wins (eighth in program history). With one more singles win, he'll be tied for third most in program history and become just the second player in school history to post 10 wins in three straight seasons.

The senior teamed up with sophomore
Mitch Wheary (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) at No. 1 doubles for a hard-fought 8-6 win. He then defeated Keith Rader at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-4.

Duc Dang (Winooski, Vt./Winooski) put up a fight at No. 6 singles before falling, 9-8 (3).

The Warriors fell to 4-8 overall, 0-2 MAC Commonwealth and Arcadia improved to 4-4 overall, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth.

The Warriors return to the courts on Tuesday, April 10, when they head to Albright College for a MAC Commonwealth match at 3:30 p.m.
