FREDERICK, Md. – Juniors
Andrew Ream (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) and
Connor Riorden (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) each had four goals to lead the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team, which posted nine of the first 10 goals to blaze past Hood College, 13-5, in MAC Commonwealth action on Saturday, April 21, to guarantee Lycoming a .500 record for the first time since 2012.

Ream also added two assists and sophomore
Tyler Thompson (Napean, Ontario/Mother Teresa) posted two goals and five assists for the Warriors (8-6 overall, 4-3 MAC Commonwealth). Sophomore
Drew Collins (Victor, N.Y./Victor) added two goals and two assists.

The Warriors, with one regular season game left, edged about as near as possible to clinching a MAC Commonwealth Tournament spot for the first time since 2014, as they hold a 1.5 game lead over sixth-place teams Lebanon Valley and Albright with both those teams having two games left in the regular season.

Ream, Riorden and junior
Travis Rode (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) each scored in the game's opening six minutes for the Warriors and Collins started another three-goal onslaught in the final 2:39 of the first quarter to make it 6-1 at the end of the period. In the second quarter, Lycoming added three more quick strikes, taking a 9-2 lead into the break. In the second half, Lycoming wouldn't let the Blazers (7-7 overall, 1-6 MAC Commonwealth) closer than six.

Junior
Alex Artur (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) won 8-of-14 at the 'x', grabbing six groundballs and both Ream and sophomore
Sam Pollock (Wrightsville, Pa./Eastern York) each finished with two caused turnovers and three groundballs. Collins and junior
Austin Arroyo (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) each had three groundballs as well, as Lycoming scooped up 37 to Hood's 26 in the game.

Patrick Hurley led Hood with two goals and Grayson Zubradt had a goal, an assist and three caused turnovers. Ben Gilbert posted five groundballs and Michael Mullen added four.

In net, junior
Michael Tenant (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) finished with 14 saves and he allowed just four goals in 52 minutes before freshman
Tim O'Connor (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) made one stop in the final 7:29. Hood's Kyle Morgenroth took the loss, making eight saves and allowing five goals in 37 minutes.

The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, April 28, when they host Arcadia University at 1 p.m. in the MAC Commonwealth regular season finale at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
