Drew Collins (Victor, N.Y./Victor) had three goals and two assists and sophomore
Tyler Thompson (Napean, Ontario/Mother Teresa) had two goals and three assists as the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team used a second and third quarter push to power past Albright College, 10-6, in a key MAC Commonwealth game on a sunny Wednesday, April 18, at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.

Junior
Michael Tenant (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) was masterful in goal, notching 16 saves, 11 in the second half, as the Warriors (7-6 overall, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth) snapped a three-game skid with the win, which puts them in a tie for fourth in conference play with two games remaining. The win was also Lycoming's first over Albright in six years, dating back to an 11-7 Lycoming win in 2012.

With the game tied at three late in the second quarter, the Warriors used a run of five straight goals to take control of the game. Freshman
Dominick Massaro (Centereach, N.Y./Sachem North) started the run with 2:29 left in the quarter before Thompson scored on a give from senior
Garrett Huff (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post West) with 1:20 remaining in the half to give Lycoming a 5-3 lead at the break.

In the third quarter, junior
Andrew Ream (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel), Thompson and Collins scored in the period's first eight minutes to make it 8-3. Albright (4-8 overall, 2-3 MAC Commonwealth) climbed within three with a pair of goals to make it 8-5, but that was as close as Lycoming would let it get in the game's final quarter.

Huff finished with two goals and an assist and Ream had a goal, two assists and four groundballs for the Warriors. Junior
Travis Rode (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) caused two turnovers and picked up two groundballs and sophomore
Grant Huff (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) had three groundballs and a caused turnover. Junior
Alex Artur (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) led the Warriors with five groundballs.

Albright was led by three goals from Nick Tonno and two from Ethan Gain. Brandon Hall had two assists and James Lettieri won 11-of-19 faceoffs. Connor Grayser had five groundballs and three caused turnovers. Ryan Aler stopped nine shots in net.

Lycoming had just 11 turnovers in the well-played game while taking 35 shots and picking up 26 groundballs. The Warriors were successful on 22-of-25 clear attempts as well.

The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, April 21, when they head to Hood College for another key MAC Commonwealth contest slated to start at 1 p.m.
