Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Playing at No. 1 singles for the first time in her career, sophomore Devinity Apollon (District Heights, Md./School Without Walls) picked up her second singles win of the season, helping the Lycoming College women's tennis team to an 8-1 win over Susquehanna University on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 20, at Bruce Henry Park.
 
It was the team's first win over the River Hawks (1-1 overall) since 2001, a stretch of 14 matches, as Lycoming improved to 2-2 overall.

Five Warriors picked up wins in both singles and doubles as Apollon picked up the 6-2, 6-1 win over Abby Ransom at No. 1 singles and teaming up with senior Kaitlin Hallabuk (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) to take another win at No. 1 doubles, winning 8-3 over Hannah Maykut and Ransom. Hallabuk took the 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles over Cassey Fox.
 
Sophomores Hannah Summerson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) and Julia Nagle (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) teamed up for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles over Fox and Julia Spear. Summerson then earned the win at No. 2 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1 over Maykut while Nagle, playing at No. 4 singles, won with a 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 in a match-ending win over Spear.
 
Junior Brittany Lenze (St. Mary's Pa./Elk County Catholic) teamed up with junior Kimberleigh Parroccini (Warren, Pa./Warren Area) at No. 3 doubles to earn the 8-1 win. Then, Lenze took her No. 5 singles match with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Amy Jennings.
 
The Warriors return to action on Saturday, Sept. 23, when they head to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., to take on King's (Pa.) at 12 p.m. in a non-conference match.
