Hannah Summerson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) became the first Lycoming College women's tennis player to reach 10 wins in a season since 2003, but the win at No. 1 singles was all Lycoming could get in an 8-1 loss to first-place Lebanon Valley College in MAC Commonwealth action on Thursday, April 13, at the Shankroff Tennis Center.

Summerson beat Marla Scacchitti, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 1 singles for the first MAC Commonwealth singles win of her career, as she improved to 10-6 on the season. The freshman, who is four wins from the school record of 14 with four matches remaining in the regular season, is the first Warrior to win 10 matches in a season since Cricket Temple (12) and Meredith Moerschbacher (11) reached the mark in 2002.

Summerson also has an 11-5 mark in doubles action, giving her a 21-11 combined mark this year, which is tied for the seventh-most combined wins in program history, just three from the school record of 24 set by Temple in 2001.

The first-place Flying Dutchmen (10-4 overall, 4-0 MAC Commonwealth) won all three doubles bouts, as Lycoming (10-4 overall, 2-2 MAC Commonwealth) won four games in each match. In singles play, the Dutchmen swept the No. 2 to No. 6 bouts.

The Warriors get back on the court on Wednesday, April 19, when they host Messiah College in MAC Commonwealth action at 3:30 p.m. in Bruce Henry Park.
