Richie Hurley (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) posted his third straight hat trick to lead the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team, but the College at Brockport was able to thwart a 19-save effort by sophomore
Michael Tenant (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall), posting a 12-5 non-conference win at the Shangraw Athletic Complex on Saturday, March 25.

Lycoming's man-up offense was efficient as always, converting 4-of-7 (57 percent) during the contest, with Hurley scoring all three of his goals in man-up opportunities.

In the first half, the Warriors (2-4 overall) drew first blood, scoring a man-up goal with 10:15 left, as Hurley on a pass from freshman
Tyler Thompson (Nepean, Ontario/Mother Teresa).

Brockport (3-3 overall) was able to tie the game four minutes later off a goal from Brendan Fitzgerald, which started a run of five straight goals to give the Golden Eagles a 5-1 lead at the half. The run continued with two more goals, both on tough shots from Jake Giudice, before Hurley scored his second man-up goal with 10:57 left in the third quarter.

The Golden Eagles responded with three more goals in the quarter to take a 10-2 lead. In the fourth quarter, both Hurley and freshman
Drew Collins (Victor, N.Y./Victor) scored on power plays and sophomore
Andrew Ream (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) added a goal with 18 seconds left to round out the scoring, but Brockport's two goals in the period kept the Warriors from the comeback bid.

Thompson finished with two assists and Collins had a goal and an assist for the Warriors. Freshman
Aidan Kirkendall (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) had his first career point with an assist. Freshman
Nick George (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) won 6-of-11 at the 'x', picking up three ground balls and sophomore
Austin Arroyo (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) led the team with two caused turnovers.

Giudice led the Eagles with three goals and an assist and Liam Cannon also posted three goals. Brendan Fitzgerald finished with two goals and three assists. Steven Guerin posted seven ground balls and three caused turnovers and Colin Blind added four ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Brockport used 50 shots to post its 12 goals, as it also held a 38-28 advantage in groundballs and a 21-12 advantage in turnovers forced.

Tenant (2-4) finished with nine saves in net for the Warriors, as he made more than 15 stops for the third-straight game. Conor Nowak (3-3) stopped nine shots in net for Brockport.

The Warriors get back on the field on Wednesday, March 29, when they open the MAC Commonwealth season by heading to Albright for a 7 p.m. game.
