HOBOKEN, N.J. – Freshman
Richie Hurley (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) led the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team with three goals, but Stevens used a seven-goal first quarter to jump out on Lycoming en route to a 19-4 win at the De Baun Athletic Complex on Thursday afternoon, March 16.

Junior
Garrett Huff (Corning, N.Y./Corning East) had two assists on man-up goals for the Warriors (2-3 overall), tossing the first to freshman
Tyler Thompson (Nepean, Ontario/Mother Teresa) in the second quarter and the other to Hurley in the fourth.

Stevens (4-2 overall), which was a finalist in the Empire 8 in 2016, jumped out to a 9-0 lead through the first 16 minutes of the game before Hurley scored the first of his three goals with 12:38 left in the second half. Stevens, which took 60 shots in the game, led by 16 in the fourth quarter before Hurley scored twice in a 46-second span to help the Warriors cut the final margin to 15.

Sophomore
Austin Arroyo (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin) led the Warriors with three ground balls and a caused turnover.

Dean Peluso led the Ducks with four goals and two assists and both Connor McKeon and Max Bailey had two goals and three assists. Connor Murphy led the team with six ground balls and Alec Caseiro caused three turnovers.

Sophomore
Michael Tenant (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) (2-3) stopped 16 shots during the first three quarters before junior
Will McAndrew (Pleasantville, N.Y./Pleasantville) stopped five shots in the fourth quarter. Carson White (4-2) earned the win for the Ducks, making four saves in three quarters of play.

The game was a reunion of sorts, as Stevens is coached by Gene Peluso, who was the first coach of the Lycoming men's and women's lacrosse programs. Peluso led the Warrior men from 1997-2001, winning 41 games, and leading the team to two Middle Atlantic Conference Tournament finals appearances. He left to become head coach at RIT in 2002, leading the Tigers for eight years before taking over at Stevens, where he is now in his eighth year. He is 30
th in NCAA Division III history with 219 career men's lacrosse wins. This was the first time that Peluso coached against the Warriors.

The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, March 18, when they head to Misericordia for a 1 p.m. non-conference game.
