WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – A 40-point first quarter helped spur the Lycoming College women's basketball team to a school-record 108 points, as four of the team's five starters finished in double figures in a 108-61 win over Penn State Hazleton on Wednesday night, Nov. 15, at Lamade Gym.

Senior
Shelby Mueller (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) became the 13
th player in school history to reach 900 career points and the 10
th to reach 500 career rebounds in one fell swoop, as she led the way with 21 points, 13 rebounds, three blocks and three steals to lead the Warriors (1-0 overall).

Sophomore guards
Akilah McFadden (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) and
Kayla Kline (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) each had 16 points, with McFadden adding eight assists, five rebounds and two blocks and Kline posting seven assists and seven rebounds. Senior
Haley Sipple (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) added 13 points and five rebounds.

Lycoming took 96 shots in the game, hitting 60 percent from downtown (9-of-15) and assisting on 27-of-44 field goals. The Warriors scored 28 second-chance points, 60 in the paint and 28 points off turnovers.

Through the first 4:07 of the game, Lycoming built an 18-3 lead and never looked back, leading 40-13 at the end of the first quarter, as the team scored 13 points off turnovers and 22-4 on points in the paint. Erin Briggs (Timonium, Md./Dulaney). They surpassed the school record of 103 points set against Baptist Bible in a 103-39 win in 1988 and 103-48 win in 1996 with a 3-pointer from junior

Penn State Hazleton was led by 23 points and three steals from Kendra Pfeil and 16 points and five assists from Mckenzie Prutsman.

Morgan Mader (Cresco, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) led the bench, which scored 40 points, with nine points and freshman
Erica Lutz (Bernville, Pa./Hamburg) added seven points and six rebounds. Both sophomore
Megan Helminiak (Williamsport, Pa./St. John Neumann) and Schoonover each added six points. Senior
Hailey Fricke (Denver, Pa./Garden Spot) added four assists, freshman
Tori Talanca (Berwick, Pa./Berwick Area) added eight rebounds and Briggs notched six.

The Warriors get back on the court on Friday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. when they face Valley Forge in the opening round of the Scotty Wood Tournament at Muhlenberg College.
