Hallabuk wins 50th career match in win over Wildcats

Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With her 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles, senior Kaitlin Hallabuk (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) became just the eighth tennis player in program history to win a combined 50 career matches, and the seventh to win 30 career singles matches, helping the Lycoming College women's tennis team to a 9-0 non-conference win over Penn College on Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Penn College Tennis Courts.
 
The Warriors (4-2 overall) dropped just one game all match as Hallabuk first combined with sophomore Devinity Apollon (District Heights, Md./School Without Walls) at No. 1 doubles to win 8-1 before Hallabuk took her No. 3 singles match. Apollon won her fourth singles match of the season at the No. 1 slot as she defeated Meghan Herman, 6-0, 6-0. 
 
Sophomore Hannah Summerson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) won her match at No. 2 singles over Amber Janelli while sophomore Julia Nagle (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) won her match at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0, after the two teamed up to take the No. 2 doubles match, 8-0, over Cassandra Shook and Caitlyn Partridge. It was Summerson's and Nagle's 19th career win together in doubles, tied for 13th in program history.
 
Junior Kimberleigh Parroccini (Warren, Pa./Warren Area) took her No. 5 singles match, 6-0, 6-0 over Michelle Hermus, after teaming up with junior Brittany Lenze (St. Mary's, Pa./Elk County Catholic) to win at No. 3 doubles, 8-0 over Amy Kabina and Hermus. Senior Ashley Stover (Bel Air, Md./Patterson Mill) won her No. 6 singles match over Kabina, 8-0.

The Wildcats fell to 0-7.
 
Lycoming returns to the courts on Saturday, Oct. 7, when they host Misericordia at 11 a.m. at Bruce Henry Park in another non-conference match.
