ANNVILLE, Pa. – Senior 
Mike Cooper (Riva, Md./Archbishop Spalding) and junior 
Peter Pluta (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) each notched hat tricks to lead the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team, but a solid defensive first half helped Lebanon Valley post an 11-7 MAC Commonwealth win at Arnold Field on Wednesday, April 20.
 
Senior 
Sean Reilly (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post West) added four assists for the Warriors (3-10 overall, 2-4 MAC Commonwealth) to give him 93 in his career and 16 assists in just six games this year.
 
The Flying Dutchmen (9-4 overall, 4-1 MAC Commonwealth) opened up a 3-0 lead in the game's first 20 minutes, as Dutchmen keeper Cameron Epple made five saves in the opening quarter. In the second quarter, Reilly found freshman 
Tim Breau (Lima, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) to make it 3-1 with 7:29 left, but the Dutchmen scored the next two goals to take a 5-1 lead into the break.
 
In the third quarter, Pluta and Cooper found the back of the net, but three goals from the Dutchmen made it 8-3 heading into the fourth quarter. In the fourth, the two teams alternated three goals goals before a man-up goal from Pluta rounded out the scoring with 51 seconds left to make up the final four-goal margin.
 
Freshman 
Cole Masterson (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) and freshman 
Eric Schutta (Frenchtown, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) led the Warriors with four ground balls each, as the Warriors held a 25-24 advantage in the statistic despite winning just 7-of-21 faceoffs. Schutta also caused two turnovers, along with senior 
Michael Wagner (Pasadena, Md./St. Mary's) and freshman 
Alex Artur (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson).
 
Koty Keefer and Alex Bushong led the Dutchmen with four goals each and Brett Kulak and Jeremy Beacer each had two assists. Coleman Wagner led the team with four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
 
Freshman 
Joshua Tscheulin (Lusby, Md./Patuxent) (2-6) finished with 11 saves for the Warriors. Cameron Epple (9-4) made 16 saves to earn the win for the Dutchmen.
 
The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, April 23, when they host Albright College on Senior Day at 1 p.m. at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
