Box Score FREDERICK, Md. – The Lycoming College women's tennis team fell to Hood College, 9-0, in MAC Commonwealth action at the Hood Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon, April 16.
 
The Warriors (4-9 overall, 1-3 MAC Commonwealth) were competitive in many sets with the second-place Blazers (7-6 overall, 3-1 MAC Commonwealth), but were unable to pull out any wins.
 
At No. 1 singles, junior Sophie Herzing (St. Mary's, Pa./Elk County Catholic) went to a tiebreaker in the first set, but fell to Olivia Hosch, 7-6 (4), 6-0. At No. 2 singles, sophomore Kaitlin Hallabuk (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) went to three sets with Michelle Shedd, but fell, 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 and at No. 5 singles, senior Samantha Bruckart (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) fell in a second-set tiebreaker to Meaghan Donahue, 6-2, 7-6 (3).
 
The Warriors get back on the court on Tuesday, April 19, when they host Lebanon Valley in an important 3:30 p.m. MAC Commonwealth battle at Bruce Henry Park.
