WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior 
Sean Reilly (Corning, N.Y./Corning Painted Post West) and freshman 
Travis Rode (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) each posted a goal and an assist to lead the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team, which fell victim to a 10-goal second half from No. 14 Stevenson University on Wednesday afternoon, April 13, dropping an 18-4 MAC Commonwealth decision at the Shangraw Athletic Complex. 
Freshman goalkeeper 
Joshua Tschuelin (Lusby, Md./Patuxent) performed admirably in net against the Mustangs' pressure, making 22 saves, including 15 in the first half, as the Mustangs fired 70 shots in the game. The 22-saves are tied for the ninth-most in school history. 
Facing pressure from the get-go, the Warriors (2-9 overall, 1-3 MAC Commonwealth) got an early chance that was saved, and Stevenson  (9-4 overall, 4-0 MAC Commonwealth) responded when Kyle D'Onofrio scored the game's first goal with 12:06 on the clock. Rode responded with a goal in transition to tie the game. 
Stevenson, despite firing 22 shots in the first quarter, struggled to find the net until a three-goal flurry, two in the final minute of the quarter to take a 4-1 lead. The Mustangs added three more in the first nine minutes of the second half, but Reilly found junior 
Jacob Eller (Durham, N.C./Riverside) in transition for a score, and half a minute later, Rode found Reilly, who fired a laser into the lower right corner to close within 7-3. 
Stevenson, however, added one more goal in the final minute of the second quarter and scored the first 10 goals in the second half to take an 18-3 lead before junior 
Peter Pluta (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) scored on a man-up opportunity in the last minute of the game. 
The Mustangs used an intense pressure defense to force Lycoming into 23 turnovers, but Lycoming held up well in many areas of the game, grabbing 33 ground balls and winning 11-of-26 at the faceoff 'x'. 
Junior 
Kyle Armstrong (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) grabbed five ground balls to lead the team, as he won 11-of-18 at the 'x'. Both Rode and freshman 
Cole Masterson (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) each added four ground balls, while Masterson also notched a caused turnovers. 
Fifteen Mustangs scored in the game, led by a goal and four assists from Matt Tompkins and two goals and two assists from Stephen Banick. Sean Ohlhaver also added a goal and two assists. Stevenson's Rocco Bruno and Nathan Lequang each posted four ground balls and won 7-of-12 at the faceoff 'x'. Dom DeFazio added three ground balls and caused three turnovers. 
The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, April 16, when they head to Hood for a critical MAC Commonwealth clash at 1 p.m.
