WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – After a slow start offensively, the Lycoming College men's basketball team scored 71 points in the game's final 32 minutes to swarm past SUNY Potsdam, 86-64, in non-conference action at Lamade Gym on Sunday, Dec. 18.

Four Warriors (10-1 overall) finished in double figures, led by senior
Nyk King (Harlem, N.Y./Manhattan Center for Science & Math), who finished with 17 points, five rebounds and two steals to cross the 800-career point mark. Sophomore
T.J. Duckett (Severna Park, Md./Calvert Hall) added 14 points and four 3-pointers, crossing 75 treys in his career, junior
Chris Wallace (Randallstown, Md./Calvert Hall) finished with 12 points, three rebounds and two assists and senior
David Johnson (Philadelphia, Pa./Communications Tech) added 10 points, two assists and two steals.

Riding a seven-game winning streak, the Warriors were able to turn to the bench midway through the second half thanks to a 36-point lead at 74-38. In all, 12 players found their way into the scoring column, with only freshman
Damani Myers (Baldwin, N.Y./St. Mary's) not scoring, although, he provided four assists.

Early in the game, while the Warriors started 6-of-19 in the game's opening 8:53, the Bears (1-9 overall) were able to keep the game close thanks to a 3-for-7 performance from 3-point range, with a free throw from Kevin Bakish tying the game at 15.

Over the next three minutes, though, the Warriors hit back-to-back-to-back 3-pointers, with two coming from sophomore
Calvin Chandler (Lake Worth, Fla./Park Vista) and one from Duckett and after the Bears responded with six straight points, the Warriors began a 16-2 run that gave the team a 40-23 lead with 1:42 left in the half. The Bears were able to cut the lead down to 13 before the end of the half, but a running hook in the lane from sophomore
Jordan Howze (Washington, D.C./School Without Walls) giving the Warriors a 44-29 lead at the break.

In the second half, the Warriors rolled out on a 30-9 run in the first 9:23 of the period, with Duckett hitting three 3-pointers during the run and both King and Johnson adding five points, as Lycoming hit 11-of-10 from the field and 5-of-8 from downtown in the run, while Potsdam went 0-for-7 from 3-point range and were forced into five turnovers.

The Warriors maintained the 30-point advantage until late in the half when Serigne Kane hit three 3-pointers to get the Bears on an 11-2 run in the final 4:21.

Kane finished with 16 points, nine rebounds and three blocks to lead the Bears and Dante Langley added 13 points and five rebounds.

Chandler finished with eight points and a career-high nine rebounds for the Warriors and senior
Willie Kee (Baltimore, Md./Parkville) added three points and a career-high six assists. Freshman
Trent Bishop (Hyattsville, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) added six points and six rebounds.

The Warriors held a 26-6 advantage on points off turnovers as they held a 21-6 advantage in turnovers, which led to a 14-7 advantage on the fastbreak and helped to overcome a 32-of-84 (38 percent) shooting effort, which was also aided by 21 offensive rebounds.

The Warriors get back in action on Thursday, Dec. 29, when they host Fredonia State in the opening round of the Louis Fleming Basinger Tournament at 6 p.m. in Lamade Gym.
