SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Lycoming College men's and women's swim teams had a strong showing on Friday, Oct. 28, at the Schweikert Relays, winning a pair of races, the men's 3x100-yard breaststroke and the evening's final event, the mixed 200-yard medley relay.

Lycoming's men's breaststroke relay featured three rookies, with the team of
Devyn Goda (Reading, Pa./Reading Area),
Cole McGrath (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) and
Josh Caro (Ontario, Calif./Colony) posting a time of 3:15.41 to touch out Elizabethtown's team by .36.

In the final event of the night, the mix of Lycoming's premier four swimmers posted a time of 1:49.11 in the mixed 200-yard medley relay to win by more than three seconds. Sophomore
Callen Jordan (Hurley, N.Y./Western Academy of Beijing) kicked off the race with the backstroke before Goda completed the breaststroke. Needing two women to finish the race, sophomore
Emilie Kramer (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) raced the butterfly and senior
Morgan Black (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) finished off the win with the freestyle.

Lycoming also finished second in three races, the men's 200-yard medley relay, the women's 3x100-yard breaststroke relay and the men's 3x500-yard freestyle relay.

Will Gillespie (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and McGrath posted a time of 1:43.98 in the 200-yard medley. Kramer, senior
Jess Wimmer (Souderton, Pa./Souderton Area) and Black finished in 3:49.68 in the 3x100-yard breaststroke. In the 3x500-yard freestyle, the team of Gillespie, Jordan and junior
Andrew Canavan (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) finished in 5:44.58 in the unique event where the three swimmers swam at the same time, with the last swimmer starting the next lap.

The men's 3x100-yard backstroke and 500-yard (50-100-150-200) freestyle relay finished in third place.

The Warriors get back in action on Saturday, Nov. 5, when they head to Stevenson University for a 2 p.m. Middle Atlantic Conference dual meet.
