WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – With solid performances across the board, the Lycoming College men's and women's swimming team posted convincing double-dual meet wins against King's (Pa.) and FDU-Florham, helping 15
th-year head coach
Jerry Hammaker reach 200 career wins at King's College's Scandlon Pool on Thursday, Jan. 21.
Seniors
Josh Thomas (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) and
Felicia Sloyer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) both won three individual events to lead the teams, as the men posted wins of 176-79 over King's and 183-64 over FDU-Florham while the women posted wins of 144.5-111.5 over King's and 186-62 over FDU-Florham.
Hammaker, meanwhile, helped the men's team improve to 4-5 overall and the women's team to 5-4, as he reached the milestone by improving to 97-48 with the men's program and 103-46-1 with the women. He also helped the women's team clinch its 15
th .500 or better season with one meet remaining.
Thomas led the men's team with wins in the 100- (55.09) and 200-yard butterfly (2:04.90) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:07.59). Senior
Dan Apostolu (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) also swam well, as he posted wins in the 50- (22.65) and 100-yard freestyle (51.19) and finished second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:09.64).
The Warrior men won 10 individual events and a relay, while King's (2-6) won three individual events and FDU (2-14) was limited to one relay win.
Senior
Trevor Endler (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) posted two wins in the 100- (1:03.46) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:23.51) and freshman
Callan Jordan (Hurley, N.Y./Western Academy of Beijing) placed first in the 100- (55.63) and 200-yard backstroke (2:09.70). Sophomore
Andrew Canavan (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) posted a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.67) and two second-place finishes in the 200-yard backstroke (2:20.57) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:19.96).
The men finished first in the 200-yard medley relay, with Canavan, Endler, Thomas, and Jordan notching a time of 1:42.92, and narrowly finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay as Jordan, Endler, freshman
Jon Koller (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest), and Apostolu notched a time of 1:34.67.
Sloyer led the women's team with wins in the 100- (1:05.71) and 200-yard backstroke (2:20.33) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:46.14). Freshman
Emilie Kramer (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) notched first-place finishes in the 50- (26.39) and 100-yard freestyle (57.93) and a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:09.38.
The Warrior women won seven individual events and a relay, while King's (5-4) won four individual events and a relay and FDU (0-16) won one individual event.
Senior
Jilly Flynn (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) finished first in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:24.98 and finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:45.48. Freshman
Scarlet Ojeda (Slatington,Pa./Northern Lehigh) finished first in the 200-yard butterfly (2:29.31) while fellow freshman
Billie Strickler (Cogan Station, Pa./St. John Neumann) finished second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:09.92).
The women finished first in the 200-yard medley relay, with Sloyer, Flynn, Kramer, and Strickler posting a time of 1:59.69, and finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay, with Strickler, junior

The Warriors will close out the regular season on Sunday, Jan. 24, when they host another MAC foe in Lebanon Valley at 2 p.m. dual meet in Lamade Gym. During the first break, the Warriors will honor the team's 11 seniors.
