Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior
Samantha Bruckart (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) won her second straight singles match to lead the Lycoming College women's tennis team, but King's College posted a 6-3 win at Bruce Henry Park on Sunday, Sept. 27.
Bruckart notched a 6-3, 6-4 win over Thea Seasock at No. 5 singles for her second straight win as she improved to 3-2 on the season and 6-5 in her career. The Warriors (0-5 overall) also got points thanks to King's forfeits at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
Sophomore
Kaitlin Hallabuk (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) also performed well, falling in three sets to 2015 Honorable Mention All-MAC Freedom selection Julia Keppel, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4, and junior
Sophie Herzing (St. Mary's, Pa./Elk County Catholic) fell in a close match at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-4.
King's improved to 2-0.
The Warriors get back on the court on Friday, Oct. 2, when they host Penn College at 4 p.m. at Bruce Henry Park.
