Warriors fall to Crusaders

Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Kaitlin Hallabuk (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) won her first career match at No. 1 singles to lead the Lycoming College women's tennis team on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 16, but Susquehanna University was able to post an 8-1 non-conference win at Bruce Henry Park.
 
Hallabuk, playing at No. 1 singles for the first time in her career, notched a 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 superset tiebreaker win over Kelly Furlong for Lycoming's lone point of the match.
 
Lycoming was competitive in many of the sets, winning at least four games in six of the 12 singles sets and two of the three doubles matches. Lycoming also went to a tiebreaker at No. 3 doubles, where senior Ashley Stover (Bel Air, Md./Patterson Mill) and Samantha Bruckart (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) narrowly fell 9-8 (5) to Eliza Griffin and Rebecca Rentschler.
 
The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, Sept. 26, when they head to FDU-Florham for a 12 p.m. non-conference match.
