Box Score READING, Pa. – The Lycoming College women's tennis team fell to Alvernia University, 9-0, in Commonwealth Conference action on Saturday afternoon, April 25.
 
The Warriors closed the 2014-15 season with a 3-13 overall record and an 0-6 mark in the Commonwealth Conference. Alvernia improved to 12-3 overall and 5-1 in the Commonwealth, as it earned the second seed at the upcoming Commonwealth Conference Tournament.
 
The Warriors were led by sophomore Sophie Herzing (St. Mary's, Pa./Elk County Catholic), who fell at No. 5 singles to Emily Thek, 8-4.
 
The match was the final one in the career of senior Shannon Sheridan (Danville, Pa./Danville Area), who finished her career tied for 16^th in school history with 24 combined wins (11 singles, 13 doubles).
