Warriors fall to Cougars

Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite winning two of the three doubles matches, the Lycoming College women's tennis team fell to Misericordia University, 7-2, in non-conference action at Bruce Henry Park on Sunday afternoon, April 19.
 
Senior Shannon Sheridan (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) won her 24th career match for the Warriors (3-11 overall), posting an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles with freshman Kaitlin Hallabuk (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area), as they beat Andrea Nale and Linsey Parks.
 
Sophomore Sophie Herzing (St. Mary's, Pa./Elk County Catholic) and senior Miranda Giraldo (Hudson, N.H./Cumberland Valley) added an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles over Hannah Corbacio and Rebecca Price.
 
However, the Cougars (7-7 overall) swept all six singles matches to earn the win.
 
The Warriors get back on the court on Tuesday, April 21, when they host Albright in a Commonwealth Conference match at 3 p.m. at Bruce Henry Park.
