Box Score HORSEHEADS, N.Y. – The Lycoming College women's tennis team opened its spring portion of the 2014-15 schedule at the Murray Athletics Center on Saturday, March 21, falling to Elmira College, 9-0, at the indoor complex.
 
The Soaring Eagles improved to 8-4 overall while the Warriors fell to 2-5.
 
Senior Abbey Smith (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) led the Warriors from the No. 2 singles position, falling 6-3, 6-2, to Kayla Fitzgerald.
 
The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, March 28, when they host Hood College in the team's Commonwealth Conference opener at 1 p.m. at Bruce Henry Park.
