ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Senior Trevor Williams (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Catholic) scored three goals in the second half for his first career hat trick to lead the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team, but a big first half was enough for Muhlenberg, as it posted a 15-5 win at Scotty Wood Stadium on Saturday, March 14.

Williams surpassed his previous career high of two goals with his last score, scored with 4:10 left in the game.

Muhlenberg (3-1 overall) opened the game with two quick goals before Lycoming (0-6 overall) got on the board midway through the quarter on an unassisted goal from junior Jake Wanamaker (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick). The Mules followed with a 9-0 run before junior Lee Pappas (New Windsor, Md./Glenelg Country School) ended the run with 5:34 left in the second quarter. The Mules closed the half with two more scores, taking an 11-2 lead into the second half.

Muhlenberg expanded the lead to as many as 12 before Williams took over, scoring three of the game's last four goals, as he started the run by denting the twine with 1:58 left in the third quarter.

Senior Joe Marchetti (Cortland, N.Y./Homer) finished with four ground balls and two caused turnovers to lead the Warriors' defensively, while junior Michael Wagner (Pasadena, Md./St. Mary's) notched three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
