WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior
Chelsea Henderson (Yonkers, N.Y./Yonkers) tied the game with 1:11 left and junior
Olivia Manges (York, Pa./West York) notched her first career double-double to lead the Lycoming College women's basketball team, but Lebanon Valley scored the last four points of the game at the free throw line to escape Lamade Gym with a 53-49 Commonwealth Conference win on Saturday, Feb. 14.

Henderson skied for an offensive rebound and was fouled with 1:11 left with the Warriors (15-9 overall, 7-8 Commonwealth) down 49-48. She hit the back end of her pair of free throws, but the Lebanon Valley (16-7 overall, 7-7 Commonwealth) went to the line with 53 seconds left and Bridget Rothert hit both free throws to give the Flying Dutchmen the lead and the Warriors missed two layups and a 3-pointer in the final minute, while Alyssa Cirucci also added two free throws to make up the final margin in a critical conference battle for playoff seeding.

Manges led the Warriors throughout the day with 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, as she also notched three assists. Henderson posted 10 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The Dutchmen broke a halftime tie at 30 with the first five points of the second half and were able to hold that lead for the first 11 minutes of the second half before freshman
Shelby Mueller (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) hit a layup with 8:36 left to give Lycoming a 41-40 lead. Bridget Rothert answered with a 3-pointer and Lebanon Valley never trailed again.

The Warriors did stage a late comeback, using a 7-2 run to tie the game with Henderson's free throw after Manges hit a huge 3-pointer with 2:03 left.

In the first half, the Warriors were plagued by foul trouble, with three post players and starting point guard
Nicole Calella (Sandyston, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) each picking up two fouls. With the team forced deep into its bench, junior
Victoria Siebecker (Cleona, Pa./Annville-Cleona) and Manges  each scored seven points to keep Lycoming close to the Dutchmen and Manges grabbed eight rebounds in the period alone. Henderson added nine points and five rebounds.

The Dutchmen led by as many as seven at 10-3 with 13:52 left before Lycoming worked back into the game, closing within 14-12 and staying within two possessions before tying the game with 6:11 left on two free throws from Henderson to make it 19-19. From there, the two squads traded three leads before Lebanon Valley scored four points in a row to make it 28-24 with 2:58 left. The Warriors closed the half on a 6-2 run, though, with Manges putting back a missed jumper as time expired to tie the game at 30 heading into the break.

Siebecker finished with seven points, Mueller added six points and two steals and Derr posted four points and five rebounds. Ziminski also added five points and five rebounds.

Rothert finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Cirucci posted 12 points, three assists and three steals to lead Lebanon Valley. Lexie Lantz also added 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Warriors wrap up the regular season on Tuesday, Feb. 17, when they head to Stevenson for a Commonwealth Conference doubleheader. The women tip in a must-win match at 6 p.m. before the men at 8 p.m.
