WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Holding Penn State Hazleton without a field goal until the final buzzer of the first quarter, the Lycoming College women's basketball team was able to run away with a 75-55 win in the team's home opener on Tuesday night, Nov. 17, at Lamade Gym.

All 12 players on Lycoming's roster found the scoreboard in the game, as Lycoming's leading scorer was senior
Olivia Manges (York, Pa./West York) led the team with 11 points and nine rebounds while playing a team-high 23 minutes, as she became the ninth player in school history to reach 90 career 3-pointers with her last of three. Sophomore
Haley Sipple (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) added 10 points, six rebounds and four assists.

After Penn State Hazleton (3-1 overall) opened the game with a free throw, the Warriors scored 15 straight points, using the transition game to get buckets from freshman
Jenn Grove (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) and junior
Nicole Calella (Sandyston, N.J./Kittatinny Regional). After a pair of free throws from the Lions, Lycoming scored another nine straight before the Lions finally got a field goal at the buzzer of the first quarter from Stephanie Guevara to make it 24-5.

In the second quarter, the Lions pulled within 14 points with 2:23 left, but three free throws from sophomore
Hailey Fricke (Denver, Pa./Garden Spot) helped get the lead back to 17 and it stayed there at halftime. Lycoming expanded the lead to as many as 27 points in the third quarter before the Lions cut the lead back down to 19 by the quarter's end. In the fourth quarter, the Warriors again expanded the lead to as many as 25 before Penn State Hazleton closed it to the final 75-55 margin.

Sophomore
Shelby Mueller (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) posted nine points, five rebounds, four steals and two steals and junior
Chelsea Henderson (Yonkers, N.Y./Yonkers) also added nine points and two rebounds. Calella also had nine points and three assists. Freshman
Shelby Schoonover (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) notched six points and two rebounds and Fricke posted five points and four rebounds.

Stephanie Guevara posted 13 points and four steals and McKenzie Prutsman notched 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Alexis Daly, who entered the game averaging 18.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, notched seven points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.

The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, Nov.21, when they host Penn College at 1 p.m. at Lamade Gym.
