WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – An aggressive Lycoming College women's basketball team forced 26 Penn College turnovers, which led to 20 points, and the team fired 87 shots as it cruised to a 69-50 win for its third straight victory on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Lamade Gym.

Freshman
Jenn Grove (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) led the Warriors (3-1 overall) with 11 points and 13 rebounds for her first career double-double. Senior
Chelsea Henderson (Yonkers, N.Y./Yonkers) posted a game-high 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists and sophomore
Shelby Mueller (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) posted 10 points, five rebounds and two blocks.

Ten of the team's 12 players in uniform scored, with freshman
Becca Painter (Elverson, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) notching eight points and both freshman
Shelby Schoonover (Sellersville, Pa./Penn Ridge) and senior
Olivia Manges (York, Pa./West York) each had seven points. Junior
Nicole Calella (Sandyston, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) added five points, five rebounds, six assists and five steals.

Lycoming jumped out to a 12-2 run in the game's first six minutes after a jumper by sophomore
Haley Sipple (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester), but Penn College (0-1 overall) responded with a 10-2 run of its own to close the gap to 14-12 heading into the second quarter.

The Warriors dominated the second quarter, taking twice as many shots as Penn College, forcing 10 turnovers and scoring 10 points in the paint and seven off turnover to expand the lead to 29-15 at the break.

In the second half, the Wildcats cut the lead to 12 once and 13 multiple times, but could get no closer, as Lycoming shot 37 percent from the field while still holding Penn College to 32 percent.

Jamie Steer led the Wildcats with 14 points and 13 rebounds and Alicia Ross posted 11 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Both Hannah Schoenly and Ebani Lewis each also had 10 rebounds.

The Warriors dominated in all specialty stats categories, holding a 32-18 advantage in the paint, 20-3 off turnovers, 21-12 on second-chance points and 14-5 on the fast break.
