WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Five Lycoming College women's tennis players won both their singles and doubles matches to lead the team to a 9-0 win over Penn College in non-conference action at the Penn College Courts on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
 
Junior Samantha Bruckart (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) and freshman Kaitlin Hallabuk (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) didn't drop a game during the set. Bruckart teamed with freshman Ashley Stover (Bel Air, Md./Patterson Mill) to post a 8-0 win over Mikaila Lugo-Schlege and Jaclyn Casey at No. 3 doubles and then added a 6-0, 6-0 win over Casey at No. 6. Hallabuk teamed with senior Shannon Sheridan (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) to post an 8-0 win over Autumn Macinnis and Erin Jacob at No. 2 doubles before notching a 6-0, 6-0 win over Lugo-Schlege.
 
The Warriors (2-2 overall) also added a win at No. 1 doubles with seniors Miranda Giraldo (Hudson, N.H./Cumberland Valley) and Abbey Smith (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) posting an 8-2 win over Melissa Stabley and Morgan Blackwell.
 
Sheridan added a 6-2, 4-6, 10-6 superset tiebreaker win over Stabley at No. 1 singles, Giraldo posted an 8-1 superset win over Blackwell at No. 2 and Smith notched a 6-4, 6-4 win over Macinnis at No. 3. Sophomore Mariah Durrant (Manchester, Md./Manchester Valley) notched a 6-0, 6-0 win over Jacob to round out the singles matches at No. 4.
 
The Wildcats fell to 0-3 overall.
 
The Warriors get back on the court on Wednesday, Oct. 1, when they head to Wilkes for a 3:30 p.m. match at Kirby Park.
