YORK, Pa. – Another school record relay effort for the men and an all-conference performance by junior
Alexia Follweiler (New Ringgold, Pa./Panther Valley) for the women highlighted the second day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships for the Lycoming College swimming teams, as both teams finished Friday, Feb. 14 in sixth place.

The school record fell in the 400-yard medley relay, where the team of junior
Dan Woods (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North), sophomore
Trevor Endler (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick), sophomore
Josh Thomas (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) and senior
Zack Brower (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) notched a fifth-place finish in 3:36.04, dropping 10.34 seconds off its seed time. Woods and Brower broke their own record, set at the 2013 championships, where they helped post a time of 3:38.61.

Woods also picked up points in the 200-yard individual medley, notching a time of 1:59.19, while Thomas finished 15
th in 2:06.51 and Endler took 16
th in 2:09.98.

The men also had three swimmers earn points in the 50-yard freestyle, as senior
C.J. Arhontakis (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) won the consolation final in 22.08 to take ninth. Sophomore
Dan Apostolu (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) took 13
th in 22.36 and Brower finished 16
th in 22.55.

On the women's side, Follweiler led the way with a sixth-place finish to earn Second Team All-MAC honors in the 200-yard individual medley, as she notched a time of 2:17.14 after posting a personal-best time of 2:16.58 in the preliminaries.

The 400-yard medley relay squad picked up Second Team All-MAC accolades with a sixth-place finish in 4:10.41, as it dropped 6.41 seconds off its seed time. The team consisted of junior
BethAnn Schwoyer (Williamsport, Pa./Homeschooled), sophomore
Jilly Flynn (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional), Follweiler and junior
Danielle Loiseau (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield).

Also in the 200-yard individual medley, Flynn earned points for the Warriors with an eighth-place finish in 2:18.42, freshman
Jess Wimmer (Souderton, Pa./Souderton Area) took 10
th at 2:18.28 and Loiseau finished 15
th in 2:19.88.

Junior
Brigid Clark (Wyndmoor, Pa./Springfield) also picked up a team point in the 50-yard freestyle, notching a time of 25.86 in the finals to finish 16
th.

The MAC Championships will get back into swing on Saturday morning, Feb. 15, at 11 a.m. with preliminary races before the 6 p.m. finals session.
