Warriors face tough task in perennial national power Plattsburgh State

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After a convincing win in the opening round of the Dutch Burch Tip-Off, the Lycoming College men's basketball team will look for its 12th tip-off title as it hosts back-to-back NCAA Division III Sweet 16 team Plattsburgh State on Sunday, Nov. 16.

The Warriors (1-0 overall) posted a 91-57 win over Penn State Schuylkill, as freshmen accounted for 60 points in the win. The Cardinals (1-0 overall) notched a convincing 74-59 win over Elizabethtown in their opening round game.

Warrior Notes
• The Warriors are 11-4 all-time in Dutch Burch Tip-Off championship games.

• With a win, head coach Guy Rancourt can tie Bob Smith for second on Lycoming's all-time wins list with 98. Smith went 98-67 for the Warriors from 1948-56.

• Senior Pat Dougher is tied with Will Kelly for 12th on the all-time list with 134 career 3-pointers.

• Six freshmen - Chris Wallace (13), Issak Boden (8), Darius James (8), Chris Craft (8), Kaliph Grant (8) and Alex Newbold (7) - scored more than five points against Penn State Schuylkill.
