WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Two individual wins each from seniors
Danielle Loiseau (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) and
BethAnn Schwoyer (Williamsport, Pa./Homeschooled),
Dan Woods (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) and freshmen
Isaac Thomas (Bellefonte, Pa./Homeschooled) and
Nina McGahey (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy) helped lead the Lycoming College swim teams to a pair of dual meet wins over Middle Atlantic Conference foe Hood College, posting a 148.5-113.5 win on the men's side and a 137-125 win in the women's meet at Lamade Gym Natatorium on Saturday, Nov. 1.

The Warriors improved to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the MAC on both the men's and women's side, as each team avenged losses to the Blazers in 2013. The Blazers fell to 3-2 overall, 2-1 in the MAC on the men's side and 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the MAC on the women's side.

Loiseau paced the Warriors all meet on the women's side, posting two individual wins before swimming the final 100 on the 400-yard freestyle relay to lead the team to a narrow 12-point victory.

The senior also notched wins in both the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:32.46), the first time in her career she swam that race, and added a time of 5:42.59 to take the 500-yard freestyle. She also finished second in the 200-yard IM, falling by less than a second to Hood's Lauren Fogarty, as she finished in 2:21.45.

Schwoyer added wins in the 100- (1:05.04) and 200-yard backstroke (2:19.23) and McGahey notched wins in the 100- (1:16.07) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:49.20). Senior
Brigid Clark (Wyndmoor, Pa./Springfield) added a win in the 50-yard freestyle (26.86).

Lycoming headed into the 400-yard freestyle ahead by just two points at 123-121, thanks to back-to-back event wins by Fogarty, but the relay team of Clark, junior
Felicia Sloyer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen), sophomore
Morgan Black (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) and Loiseau were able to touch out Hood by less than two-tenths of a second to win the meet.

On the men's side, the Warriors got out to a strong start, with the 200-yard medley relay team of Woods, junior
Trevor Endler (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick), Thomas and junior
Dan Apostolu (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) notched a time of 1:40.99 to win and the team didn't look back from there.

Thomas notched a time of 1:51.97 to take the 200-yard freestyle before adding a time of 2:06.57 to win the 200-yard butterfly, finishing ahead of teammate junior
Josh Thomas (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) finished in 2:06.65.

Woods posted wins in the 50-yard freestyle (22.54) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:09.12), but he was touched out by Josh Thomas in the 100-yard butterfly (54.37). Endler also added a win in the 200-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 2:19.99.

The Warriors get back in the pool on Saturday, Nov. 8, when they host Wilkes and Stevenson in a double dual-meet. The meet will begin at 1 p.m. in Lamade Gym Natatorium.
