WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Three matches went into tiebreakers, but the Lycoming College women’s tennis team fell to Messiah College, 9-0, in Commonwealth Conference action on a beautiful Tuesday, April 9 at Bruce Henry Park.
 
At No. 1 doubles, Erin Ipsen and Eileen Barker were able to edge out the Lycoming duo of sophomore Shannon Sheridan (Danville, Pa./Danville) and junior Kathy Jacobs (Milton, Pa./Milton), 9-8 (10). Sheridan also fell in a tiebreaker to Ipsen at No. 1 singles, falling 4-6, 6-1, 10-2 in a superset tiebreaker. To wrap up the match, Katelyn Clark edged out senior Adriana Rivera (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty), 7-5, 6-7 (4), 10-5.
 
The Warriors get back in action on Wednesday, April 17, when they head to Lebanon Valley for a Commonwealth Conference match at 3:30 p.m.
