READING, Pa. – Junior Kathy Jacobs (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) won a singles match to lead the Lycoming College women’s tennis team, but the Warriors fell to Alvernia University, 8-1, in a Commonwealth Conference game at Angelica Park on Saturday, April 6.
 
Jacobs, competing at No. 2 singles, posted a 6-4, 6-1 win over Jenifer Petrilla to lead the Warriors (0-6 overall, 0-2 Commonwealth).
 
The Crusaders (7-6 overall, 1-1 Commonwealth) notched three doubles wins and five singles wins to post their eight points.
 
The Warriors get back on the court on Tuesday, April 9, when they host Messiah in a Commonwealth Conference match at 3 p.m. at Bruce Henry Park.
