FREDERICK, Md. – Senior Adriana Rivera (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) and sophomore Abbey Smith (Towanda, Pa./Towanda Area) each won both their singles and doubles matches to lead the Lycoming College women’s tennis team, but Hood College was able to post a 6-3 win to wrap up the 2012-13 Commonwealth Conference season for both squads on Saturday, April 27.
 
Rivera teamed with Smith to notch an 8-5 win over Aubrey Fetters and Lauren Cevallos at No. 3. She then wrapped up her career with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Fetters at No. 6 singles and Smith posted a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 4 over Nalla Tejera to account for Lycoming’s three points.
 
Rivera finished her career with 23 combined wins (seven singles, 16 doubles), tied for 17^th in school history. Her 16 doubles wins are 13^th in program history.
 
The Warriors (0-10 overall, 0-6 Commonwealth) also fell in a pair of close matches, as junior Kathy Jacobs (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) fell to Olivia Hosch at No. 2 singles, 3-6, 6-1, 6-0, and sophomore Kendall Connors (Republic, Pa./Brownsville Area) fell to Mabie Tun, 9-7, at No. 5 singles, helping the Blazers (4-11 overall, 1-5 Commonwealth) secure the win.
