READING, Pa. – A solid all-around performance from the Lycoming College volleyball team helped it sweep Albright, 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-19), in Commonwealth Conference action for the program’s first win at the Bollman Center on Tuesday night, Sept. 25.
Freshman
Bethany Richardson (York, Pa./West York Area) led the Warriors (9-4 overall, 1-2 Commonwealth) with eight kills, eight digs, two aces and two blocks and senior
Jackie Oliva (Barnesville, Pa./Mahanoy Area) added seven kills and three blocks.
The team was balanced during the evening, with the squad posting 30 kills while allowing Albright (2-7 overall, 0-4 Commonwealth) put just 17 balls on the floor, while being forced into 18 hitting errors. The Warriors also held a 53-45 advantage in digs, led by 17 digs from sophomore libero

Katelyn McKillop (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) added 25 assists, nine digs and three aces. Sophomore
Kylee Sutton (Wysox, Pa./Towanda Area) added four kills and two digs and junior
Chelsee Strine (South Boardman, Mich./Forest Area) added three kills, while sophomore
Amber Seibel (McDonald, Pa./South Fayette) notched seven digs.
Christa Mantz led the Lions with eight kills and two blocks and Alyssa Hoogendoorn posted five kills and three blocks. Casey McFadden notched 22 digs and Alexa Jones added nine digs and two blocks. Morgan Heath also added two aces and two blocks and Erin Wentzel notched 14 assists.
The Warriors get back on the court on Friday, Sept. 28, when they host the Tip-Off Tournament at Lamade Gym. The Warriors will face Misericordia at 5 p.m. on Friday and Penn College at 7 p.m. before taking on CCNY on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 11 a.m., to complete the round robin.
