WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -
If there were a game that the Lycoming College men’s basketball team had circled on its calendar before the season started, it would have been today’s game against Messiah College, who beat the Warriors in the Commonwealth Conference finals in February.

The Warriors (7-1 overall, 4-0 Commonwealth) are out to a hot start and are the only team left with an unblemished record in the conference. The Warriors have won three of their first four league games by double figures, including a 90-72 win over Arcadia on Saturday, Dec. 8. Senior Anthony Martin led the way with a career-high 28 points.

The Falcons (4-3 overall, 3-1 Commonwealth) are coming off a 74-62 loss at Albright. Junior Brad Bolen led the team with 23 points.

Warrior Notes
• At least four Warriors have scored in double figures in each of the last six games.

• Senior Jerald Williams enters the game with 653 assists, which is 15 away from the MAC record of 668 set by Lebanon Valley’s Mike Rhoads from 1992-95.

• Williams leads the NCAA Division III with 11.6 assists per game and is second in steals per game at 4.13.

• Junior Kevin Anthony needs one more blocked shot to become the seventh player in school history to reject 10 in three different seasons.

• Anthony has scored in double figures in all eight games this season.

• Either sophomore Chris Foreman or classmate Patrick Dougher has hit at least two 3-pointers in all eight games this year. Foreman has hit two in five games and Dougher in seven.

• The Warriors have shot better than 50 percent from the field three times this season, including a season-high 55 percent against Arcadia.
