ST. MARY’S CITY, Md. – Freshman
Bethany Richardson (York, Pa./West York) led the Lycoming College volleyball team with 15 kills during a pair of matches on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Seahawk Invitational, but the Warriors fell, 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-8) to Stevenson, and 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-20) to Randolph.
Richardson led the Warriors with nine kills and six digs against Randolph and sophomore
Kylee Sutton (Wysox, Pa./Towanda Area) added eight kills for the Warriors (21-12 overall). Sophomore
Chelsee Strine (South Boardman, Mich./Forest Area) posted six kills, senior
Jackie Oliva (Barnesville, Pa./Mahanoy Area) added five kills and two blocks and junior
Katelyn McKillop (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) added 25 assists and 12 digs. Sophomore
Kristin Whitehead (Avon, Ohio/Avon) added 17 digs.
Jordan Templin led Randolph (9-23 overall) with nine kills and Celine Rhodes added eight kills. Kerry McMichael posted 15 assists, helping the team hit .321 in the match, and Lexi Harrington posted 16 digs.
Against Stevenson (32-2 overall), Richardson led the team with six kills. McKillop posted 14 assists and five digs and Whitehead led the team with 11 digs.
Christine Isenberg posted 11 kills, seven digs and two blocks and Avery Gabbard posted 10 kills for the Mustangs. Jessica Gieselman added 34 assists and Samantha Perillo notched 16 digs.
The Warriors will get back in action on Monday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m., when they head to Widener for the opening round of the Commonwealth Conference Playoffs.
